Nia Statham

Nia is an Associate at Baker & Partners (Cayman) Limited with a focus on dispute resolution, asset recovery, restructuring and insolvency.

Nia was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands in May 2023. She was also admitted to practise as a solicitor in the British Virgin Islands (March 2021) and in England & Wales (November 2017).

Nia graduated from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 2011 and continued her education at the University of Law in Bristol where she achieved a Graduate Diploma in Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Prior to joining Baker & Partners in May 2023, Nia trained and qualified at a US law firm before moving to an employment boutique and later a full-service national law firm in New Zealand. She then practised at a top 10 offshore firm in the British Virgin Islands and has gained broad experience in both civil and commercial dispute resolution, fraud, insolvency, restructuring, regulatory & compliance investigations, employment and competition.
