The MLRO role is under increasing regulatory focus, with greater scrutiny on individual judgement, escalation decisions and board reporting. In 2026, it is no longer enough to oversee frameworks. Regulators expect evidence of effective challenge, confident decision making and clear ownership of financial crime risk.

Barry Faudemer joins this event as the Keynote speaker, drawing on his unique insight having acted as the JFSC’s Director of Enforcement and MLRO, the Head of Police and Customs Joint Financial Crimes Unit and most recently as a trusted private consultant at Baker Regulatory.

This conference brings together MLROs and financial crime leaders from across Jersey to explore emerging supervisory priorities, personal accountability risk and practical strategies for strengthening AML oversight. Through focused sessions and expert discussion, delegates will gain insight, clarity and confidence in navigating the demands of the modern MLRO role.
