Amita is an English Barrister and an Associate at Baker & Partners.
Amita completed her English pupillage (specialising in Chancery) in September 2018 and qualified as an English Barrister. Amita trained with Baker & Partners in Jersey for the first six months of pupillage and undertook her second six at 5 Stone Buildings (on secondment), a leading specialist Chancery set in Lincoln’s Inn, London.
Amita obtained her B.A. (with Honours) in Law and Business (with a qualifying degree) from the University of Warwick and Warwick Business School in 2012 and was called to the Bar in 2013 (Middle Temple). Prior to undertaking her pupillage, Amita worked as an Analyst in Kobre & Kim (London) where she gained considerable experience in matters involving onshore and offshore asset tracing and recovery, bankruptcy and debtor-creditor disputes, international judgment enforcement and financial products and services litigation.
