Experience

Jodi-Ann is qualified to practice as an attorney-at-law throughout the Caribbean and has been admitted to the Bars of Jamaica, Saint Lucia, and the British Virgin Islands. She is an Associate at Baker and Partners (BVI) with a focus on dispute resolution, restructuring, and insolvency.

Jodi-Ann graduated from the University of the West Indies, Mona with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours. She pursued postgraduate studies as a Chevening Scholar at University College London where she specialised in International Commercial Law and obtained a Master of Laws with distinction.

Prior to Baker and Partners, Jodi-Ann worked as an Associate at a boutique dispute resolution specialist firm in the BVI and has appeared before the BVI Commercial Court and the Court of Appeal. She has significant experience in providing legal representation and comprehensive risk-based advice to an international clientele on a range of complex cross-border commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

Jodi-Ann draws upon her strong research and drafting experience as a Judicial Research Assistant at the Court of Appeal of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. In this capacity, she engaged in rigorous legal analysis, drafting and research for the core areas of corporate law, banking and finance, property, contracts, equity, and trusts. Jodi-Ann’s research background is complimented by her previous role as a Legal Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank where she was involved with the monitoring and execution of the LIBOR contract remediation project plan and the transition to SOFR-based contracts.
