Imogen Cheney

Imogen Cheney is a Student at Baker & Partners in the Jersey office on placement from September 2026 – September 2027.

She is an aspiring Chancery barrister with an interest in contentious trusts. She is also a linguist and speaks four languages.

Imogen graduated in 2025 from the University of Cambridge with a First in Modern and Medieval Languages and then completed a GDL at City St George’s for which she was awarded the Lord Bowen Scholarship from Lincoln’s Inn.

During her undergraduate degree, Imogen gained a broad range of experience through three internships in Germany, covering research, talent management and consulting, as well as a period of study in Brazil. She is looking forward to building on this experience during her placement, developing her client-facing skills and gaining exposure to different teams and areas of work across the Firm.
