Experience

Thomas Harris is an Associate at Baker & Partners and has 10 years’ experience in Jersey across a broad range of offshore commercial and civil litigation matters. He has strong expertise in trust disputes, corporate disputes and insolvency, financial regulation, and human rights. Thomas is fluent in both English and French.

Thomas joined Baker & Partners in 2019 as a Paralegal, after training at Bedell Cristin and Collas Crill. In 2025, he joined Parslow’s dispute resolution department where he focused on debt claims, personal injury claims, employment claims and contentious probate, before he returned to Baker & Partners in 2026.

He has an LLB Law with French degree from the University of Sussex and an LLM Globalisation and Law degree from the University of Maastricht. He was admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2022.

Recent Matters

  • Pender v Guardian and PSG – assisted on a shareholder dispute turning on complex valuation modelling of an insurance business.
  • ENBD v Almakhawi– part of the team pursuing enforcement of a multi‑million‑pound Dubai judgment through Jersey disclosure and freezing orders, as well as trial arguments concerning trust‑based asset transfers.
