Experience
Tom Hall is a Senior Associate based in Baker & Partners’ Jersey office.
Tom is an experienced commercial litigator who advises on the breadth of the firm’s core practice areas, with particular expertise in regulatory and white-collar crime (including investigations), fraud and asset tracing, contentious corporate and cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters.
Tom is listed in the 2026 and 2025 Legal 500 rankings as a key lawyer (regulatory and white-collar crime). A client testimonial in the 2026 guide recommends Tom for his plain-spoken advice, “as a non-lawyer, I appreciate the clarity of Tom Hall’s advice, which is always timely and to the point”.
Tom moved to Jersey in 2022 and prior to joining the firm, he worked at another leading offshore firm on the Island.
Tom is an English solicitor (admitted in 2013 – non-practicing) and has Higher Rights of Audience (Civil). He attended the University of Exeter, where he was awarded an LLB (Hons) in 2008.
Tom is a member of the International Bar Association.
Recent matters
- At a previous firm, Tom was integrally involved in the judicial review of the award by the Minister for Sustainable Economic Development of the long-term ferry contract to DFDS a/s, acting for Bretagne, Angleterre, Irlande S.A. (trading as Brittany Ferries) before the Royal Court [2024] JRC 292 and Court of Appeal [2025] JCA 036.
